The weekend before this last one, we took the kids to see the Imagination Movers at the UNO Lakefront Arena. Gus LOVES the Movers. Viv went through a period too where that was all she wanted to watch. We don't have cable TV, so I don't know how their series on Disney is. We just watch the DVD we have a lot. A whole lot. Gus dances to it, and it is so cute to watch. The band played most of the kids' favorites, although we were disappointed that they skipped Viv's very favorite one of their songs (Clean My Room). To the delight of the adults in the audience, the show was on the Saints bye week Sunday, and that was no accident. The Movers are local guys and huge Saints fans. They came out with jerseys on over their jumpsuitsat one point and played The Saints Are Coming. They also did their Big Country cover (sha!) and incorporated a gag from Spinal Tap with a tiny Stonehenge replica looming over the stage. Yeah, in our house, I guess it's not just the kids who are huge Movers fans.
Meant to add that we took the kids puddle jumping after we got home, as it was a rainy day. Viv has a favorite puddle that forms down the block, so we paid it a visit. This was Gus's first time on the koala, and he didn't fuss, but he wasn't sure he was in the mood to walk either.
