Back

As Alice noted in an earlier post, I was gone for a couple of days for the Gulfport to Pensacola race this weekend. We ended up with a third place finish which we were fairly happy with. The weather was a bit rough and we spent most of the race skimming the front edge of storms in the Gulf. It was a fairly exhausting experience, but we managed to finish in the 2nd fastest time of the 21 years this boat has run this race.

At any rate, I made it back to New Orleans late Saturday afternoon and I haven't seen Alice this glad to see me for quite some time. Apparently someone switched our children out for poo-flinging baboons while I was gone and Alice was a bit frazzled.

Photo shoot

I couldn't resist. Gus is getting so much more alert. His eyes are open longer, and it seems like he's actually focusing on things.

Escape!

Viv has figured out how to climb out of her crib! We don't know how she did it without hurting herself, but the night before last she padded back into the kitchen and said "sorry" after we put her in her crib because she wouldn't settle down for bed time. Curt has also escaped - he left this AM for the Gulfport to Pensacola sailing race and he won't be back until tomorrow night or possibly Sunday. Here's some cute pictures of the kids from earlier this week.

Tie Dye

A friend of mine gave Gus some organic white onesies, and I got the idea to tie dye them. Viv is fond of saying "tie dye" and some days will wear only tie dye. She has pretty well outgrown her tie dye onesies, and we are relying on a bubble suit that is going to be too small soon and a pair of tie dyed socks on these days. We decided to buy Viv some white tee shirts to tie dye along with the onesies for Gus. Then we had to get some adult shirts too so we could each have one.
