Rainy Sunday

This past Sunday Mom took Vivi on an adventure to Waffle House. It rained when Viv got home, so Curt put up a tent in the living room for fun.

When the rain stopped, we wanted to get out of the house, but the threat of more rain was looming, so we weren't comfortable with the idea of the zoo or City Park. Instead we went to the Dollar General and bought a $1 pack of store-brand saltines to feed the ducks at Torres Park, which is out by us. Gus fell asleep on the way to the ducks and slept through the feeding.

Then, later at home Viv wanted a different princess dress, so I put her in one of my old dresses and tied the shoulder straps behind her back. Gus was as happy as can be in his regular pajamas, thank God, because this princess dress stuff is getting insane! Lately it has to be either this blue striped dress with rose buds or the Peru princess dress. Now, since Sunday, this dress of mine has been much-requested too. And by requested I mean repeatedly whined about. The girl insists on being in a princess dress round the clock, whether appropriate or not. Interestingly, last night when I gave her a choice of her snow angel or fairy pajamas, she instead needed her Buzz Lightyear's. She is a total piece of work!
