Mr. Puffalufagus

We had a bit of a scare this weekend when Gus had a bad reaction to an insect bite. He had gotten what we thought was a mosquito bite on Friday on his forehead and it was a little red and puffy Friday evening, but nothing to worry about. However, on Saturday it really ballooned up with his left eye swelling pretty badly and his cheek and the bridge of his nose puffing way up. We talked to his pediatrician and sent her photos and she told us to just dose him with Benadryl and put a bit of cortisone on it and keep her updated. It continued to look pretty bad yesterday but seems to have more or less cleared by this morning. He didn't seem too bothered by it but we're glad it's looking more normal again. I sure hope he doesn't have an allergy to mosquito bites, cause that will make life real tough in New Orleans.

Anyway, we'll try and get some more cute photos up soon. Our new camera is giving us some problems with a lens error and we've been a bit busy moving furniture in and rearranging things.
