Bugmobile
Saturday morning we brought the kids to see the Audubon bugmobile at Latter library. Here are some pictures of our brave girl petting hissing cockroaches and Australian walking sticks. She likes to say beetle, much to the delight of Curtis the bug demonstrator, who told us how precious and adorable she was when Grandma brought her to a similar event at the Alvar branch a few weeks back. The walking stick she got to touch is related to the one that was in our shed a while back - we had posted some pictures of it. Evidently the local ones spit some sort of acid at their would be predators. Nice. Always a thrill to have acid-spitting bugs in your shed. The bottom picture pretty well sums up Gus's reaction to all of it.
