Wednesday at the zoo

On Wednesday, Nick suggested that we take Viv to her very favorite place.




I couldn't believe that we saw the elusive capybara and tapir on the same day - that hardly ever happens!



We were excited to learn that the interloping long-legged waders actually get fed in the swamp exhibit daily. No wonder they are there in such abundance. I got some great pictures, including these shots of a night heron and an ibis.



Gus was not impressed.
