At any rate, last night went alright. We finally got to sleep around 4:00 and managed a few hours of sleep. The nursing staff felt compelled to come by and check on us about once an hour, which makes sleeping a real pain in the ass. Viv came in and met her baby brother this morning but she doesn't seem terribly interested at this point.
We may be going home later today but we're waiting to see if August gets the hang of nursing first. So far he's been a lot more inclined to sleep than to do anything else but we've been told that's not unusual with babies born early.
Alice is feeling pretty good today, all things considered. She's up and moving around on her own and managed to take a shower without any help this morning. We've already had the first wave of visitors this morning and I'm sure there's more to come.
